Federal judge rules second Psycamore suit against City of Ocean Springs can go forward

A $405,000 federal lawsuit against the City of Ocean Springs filed by the owner of the property where the Psycamore mental health clinic wanted to open in 2011 will go forward, Chief U.S. District Court Judge Louis Guirola Jr. ruled Monday. The suit, filed in September 2014 by Marble Springs property owner Roger Applewhite, claimed damages from the City's decision in 2011 to deny a use permit to the mental health clinic -- a decision later overturned in Jackson County Circuit Court.
