Westin Kierland Resort Fined for Violations of Labor Law

The US Department of Labor is ordering the Westin Kierland Resort in Scottsdale to pay more than $76,000 in back wages and penalties after an investigation. The agency's Wage and Hour Division conducted a "routine inspection" at the resort near Scottsdale Rd. and Greenway Parkway after the resort requested, and was granted, permission to hire foreign workers.
