Oil companies settle complaint for $1.2 million

Three oil field service companies have agreed to pay $1.2 million to settle a complaint filed by the U.S. Equal Employment Opportunity Commission alleging that some employees were subjected to ethnic slurs. K2 Radio reports that the EEOC sued Dart Energy, Beckman Production Services and J&R Well Service last year.
