Column: STEM Education for All

Science education in our public schools has evolved in recent years into a multifaceted national, state and even local initiative commonly referred to as STEM, or science, technology, engineering and mathematics. STEM education has grown in recent years partly due to an increased emphasis from the National Science Foundation, increased federal funding and the implementation of national content standards that promote an integrated science curriculum.
