An Employer Who Didn't Bother To Get Workers' Compensation Insurance

When an injured employee discovered his employer, Hilton Head Housecare, didn't have workers' compensation insurance, the North Carolina Industrial Commission fined the company and owner, ordered them to pay the employee the workers' compensation benefits he was owed and ordered them to pay his attorney's fees. An employee of Hilton Head Housecare was performing his normal janitorial duties when he slipped on the wet floor he was mopping.
