Oklahoma restaurant franchisee accused of failing to pay Hispanic workers overtime

An Oklahoma franchisee for the fast food chain Chicken Express will pay $15,000 to settle claims by the Equal Employment Opportunity Commission that it discriminated against Hispanic workers by failing to pay them overtime wages. Mineral Wells, Texas-based NSC Chicken LP, which operates Chicken Express franchise restaurants across Oklahoma, engaged in a pattern of discrimination against Hispanic workers by failing to pay them overtime wages, the Equal Employment Opportunity Commission claims in a civil enforcement action filed in federal court on Tuesday.
