Capital Region unemployment rate drops 1.9 percent

By Bethany Bump Gazette Reporter The Capital Region's unemployment rate was 5.4 percent in December 2013, down nearly 2 full percentage points from 7.3 percent one year earlier, according to preliminary data released today by the state Department of Labor.
