Madison County unemployment rate jumps to 6 percent, falls statewide

HUNTSVILLE, Alabama -- The joblessness rate in Madison County jumped from 5.5 percent in May to 6 percent last month, according to figures released Thursday afternoon by the state Department of Labor.
