Whistleblowing plea to boost hospital standards

Dr Turner, who is head of Scotland Patients Association, was speaking ahead of a conference today by the Glasgow-based group on NHS "whistle-blowers". She said alerting the public to problems became a "professional duty of care" when systems for reporting performance or standards failed.
