Jimmy Eldridge column: Future is bright for Tennessee

The poet Walt Whitman once wrote: "The genius of the United States is not best found in executives or legislatures, nor even in its newspapers or inventors, but always found in the common man." The first session of the 108th Tennessee General Assembly has officially begun, and I can't help but think of those words as we begin our work.
