Too many Republicans and red state Democrats support unsuccessful UN treaty

In a close vote, the United States Senate failed to pass a resolution ratifying the Convention on the Rights of Persons with Disabilities, a United Nations treaty being considered by the Senate under its advice and consent powers in the Constitution of the United States.
