Unpaid insurance leads to Labor Department suit against defunct Bradenton private school

The United States Department of Labor has gone to court to force the operator of a former Bradenton private school to pay some health care costs for staff members. The staffers were left with nearly $14,000 in unpaid medical bills after the defendants -The Children's Place Inc., its employee benefit plan and its administrator, Hendrik Lamprecht - failed to send employees' contributions to health insurers, according to a lawsuit filed by the Labor Department Dec. 30 in federal court in Tampa.
