U.S. Dept. of Labor grants recourse to employees of Hoosick Falls manufacturer

HOOSICK FALLS, N.Y. >> U.S. Sen. Kirsten Gillibrand and U.S. Rep. Chris Gibson, NY-19, announced last week that the U.S. Department of Labor has approved Trade Adjustment Assistance, or TAA certification for 29 laid-off workers from Oak-Mitsui Technologies in Hoosick Falls. "While we work with local officials to attract new private sector jobs to the area, we must also ensure that workers who have lost their jobs through no fault of their own have the support and resources they need to get back on their feet and secure good jobs," Sen. Gillibrand stated in a press release.
