Cargill Inc., which is closing its corn mill on Presidents Island, has notified the state that it will begin a "mass layoff" in Memphis this February. The company expects to lay off 210 union employees between the beginning of February and the end of June 2015, according to a noticed filed with the Tennessee Department of Labor & Workforce Development.
