Assisted living company to pay $40,000 to settle charges that it retaliated against employee

A senior living operator has agreed to pay $40,000 to settle charges that it retaliated against an employee, the U.S. Equal Employment Opportunity Commission announced Friday. The worker repeatedly told managers at the Cordia Senior Residence in Westmont, IL, that sexual harassment was taking place, according to the EEOC.
