State jobs report finds September employment strong, unemployment rate down

Connecticut employers added 11,500 jobs in September as the state's unemployment rate fell two-tenths of a percentage point to 6.4 percent, the state Department of Labor reported today. The department also reported that revisions in data released for August indicate 1,200 jobs were lost that month, not 3,600, as previously reported.
