High Court to Consider Pregnancy Accommodations, EEOC Settlement Efforts

In the few days since the start of the 2014-15 U.S. Supreme Court term, the justices have chosen not to rule on same-sex marriage and heard arguments in an important Fair Labor Standards Act dispute, which asks whether employees must be paid for time they spend going through security checks at the end of their shift. The term, which began Oct. 6, will not end until June 2015, and the court has on its calendar a number of other cases that may impact employers.
