Former addict assists others through jobs program

After losing everything to drugs, Dan Hurst got clean and used a $5 loan to rebuild his life and -- eventually -- to teach job skills to central Ohio's special-needs community. He had a family and a home in New Albany, and managed all the technology systems for 52 stores in a six-state region for his employer's equipment rental solutions business.
