Arkansas' jobless rate dips to 6.2% in September

Arkansas' unemployment rate dropped to 6.2 percent in September from 6.3 percent in August, the state Department of Workforce Services said Tuesday. The state's civilian labor force grew by 3,600 as the ranks of employed Arkansans increased by 4,500 and 900 unemployed Arkansans stopped looking for work, the department said, citing U.S. Department of Labor data.
