Governor launches $1M grant competition

As part of his Drive to 55 initiative, Tennessee Gov. Bill Haslam has launched the Labor Education Alignment Program competition, a state effort focused on increasing opportunities for Tennesseans to obtain a certificate or degree beyond high school aligned with the needs of the workforce in their communities. The Tennessee Higher Education Commission will administer the program and is currently accepting applications from local organizations looking to create new programs or acquire equipment that will help train potential workers.
