Government sues Arlington firm over firing of pregnant women

Since 2011, the EEOC has filed more than 45 lawsuits involving pregnancy discrimination, litigation that has resulted in $3.5 million in judgments against employers as well as other injunctive and case-specific relief, the agency said. "I am surprised that this issue continues to be a recurring theme in the workplace in this day and age," said Robert Canino, the regional attorney for the EEOC's Dallas office., in a prepared statement.
