A new state Wage Board announced plans Monday to hold four hearings in 2014 before issuing a recommendation early next year on whether to raise the minimum wage for tipped workers in the hospitality industry. "I encourage industry stakeholders, employees and members of the public to submit testimony to be considered as part of the Wage Board's deliberations," said Peter Rivera, the state's labor commissioner, in a statement.
